Chunghwa Telecom announced on June 2, 2011 the opening of its 100%-owned subsidiary in Vietnam, according to the United Daily News of Taiwan. It is reported that the subsidiary will focus on providing VPN (Virtual Private Network) services, ICT total solutions, and iEN (Intelligent Energy Network) smart energy saving services for Taiwan-based enterprise customers operating in Vietnam. Chunghwa Telecom said the company has signed cooperation agreements with three major telecom operators in Vietnam, aiming to enhance service quality for its customers.
